Geografické aspekty mezinárodního obchodu: současné trendy

This Master’s thesis analyzes the current commodity and territorial structure of international trade and on the basis of this analysis causes current trends in this area. It focuses on the mutual influence of selected economies and integration groupings and their development in last several years. The first chapter outlines the theoretical framework of international trade, defines the concept of international trade, its subjects and role in the world economy. Furthermore, there are described the most important theories of international trade and the end of the chapter is focused on the World Trade Organization (WTO) and its role as the creator of the multilateral trading system. The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of territorial structures of international trade through the most important actors, ie China, USA and Germany and also from the perspective of integration groupings, specifically the European Union, NAFTA, ASEAN, Mercosur and CIS. At the end of the chapter are summarized the most important current trends in this area. The third and last chapter deals with the commodity structure of international trade, analyzes selected most traded commodities in the world, including oil, gold and soybeans. It also analyses international trade with goods according to SITC classification, which is maintained by the United Nations. At the end of the chapter are summarized the most important trends in this area. Overall, the thesis provides a comprehensive view of the current state and trends in international trade from the perspective of commodity and territorial structure, based on the latest data, statistics and reports.
