Abstract:
Teoretická část vychází z aktuální literatury zaměřené na využívání AI v architektuře, ranou fázi udržitelného návrhu, BIM, digitální dvojčata a bariéry adopce. Empirická část vychází z kvalitativního šetření prostřednictvím pěti polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se šesti respondenty zastupujícími pět architektonických studií a jedné doplňkové písemné odborné reakce dalšího studia. Do technického návrhu, práce s BIM modelem, výpočtů a komplexní optimalizace budovy zatím běžně nevstupuje. Přínos AI pro udržitelnost je převážně nepřímý a závisí na kvalitě dat, odborné kontrole a odpovědnosti projektanta.

Abstract:
This diploma thesis examines the use of artificial intelligence tools in the design of sustainable office buildings in the Czech Republic. The main objective of the thesis is to understand how Czech architectural firms perceive these tools, whether they use them, and what factors influence their implementation in design practice. The theoretical part draws on current literature focusing on the use of AI in architecture, the early stages of sustainable design, BIM, digital twins, and barriers to adoption. The empirical part is based on a qualitative study conducted through five semi-structured interviews with six respondents representing five architectural firms, supplemented by one written expert response from another firm. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings show that AI is a familiar but so far only partially integrated technology in the firms examined. It is most commonly used for visualizations, generating design alternatives, text processing, information retrieval, and partial automation. It is not yet commonly used in technical design, work with BIM models, calculations, or complex building optimization. The contribution of AI to sustainability is predominantly indirect and depends on data quality, expert review, and the designer’s responsibility.
