| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá kryptoměnou Bitcoinem a jeho problémy z hlediska měny. Hlavním cílem je poukázat na skutečnost, že Bitcoin je jako měna v momentálním stavu nevhodná a funguje tak spíše jako investiční nástroj. První kapitola popisuje teoretický základ ohledně Bitcoinu. Druhá část přiblíží teoretický základ ohledně peněz. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na porovnání s fiat měny a problémy Bitcoinu, které tak vznikají z jeho technologických i monetárních vlastností. Následující část rozebírá největší problém, který brání Bitcoinu stát se globální měnou. Poslední část analyzuje potencionální decentralizované, a i centralizované alternativy, které využívají technologii blockchain a lépe splňují kritéria. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor’s thesis deals with cryptocurrency Bitcoin and its problems regarding currency status. Main aim of this thesis is to present the reality that Bitcoin at this current state is unusable as a currency and rather acts as an investment asset. First chapter describes theoretical background about Bitcoin. Second chapter lays foundation for theory behind money. Third chapter then focuses on comparison between fiat money and Bitcoin issues which are result of its technological and monetary aspects. Following is the chapter about the most notable issue for Bitcoin to become a worldwide currency which is regulation. Last chapter analyses potential decentralized and centralized alternatives that use blockchain technology and fit the criteria better. |
