| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá ekonomickou a sociokulturní integrací migrantů ze Severní Afriky na trhu práce Italské republiky. Cílem práce je analyzovat postavení těchto migrantů na trhu práce a identifikovat hlavní bariéry jejich integrace v ekonomickém i sociokulturním prostředí. Práce kombinuje teoretický rámec migrace a integrace s empirickou analýzou kvantitativních dat z let 2014–2023 a kvalitativním výzkumem založeným na polostrukturovaných rozhovorech s migranty z vybraných zemí. Výsledky kvantitativní analýzy ukazují přetrvávající nerovnosti mezi migranty a většinovou populací, zejména v oblasti nezaměstnanosti, kvality pracovních míst a překvalifikovanosti. Kvalitativní část dále odhaluje konkrétní bariéry integrace, především jazykovou bariéru, omezený přístup k odpovídajícím pracovním příležitostem a význam sociálních kontaktů. Zjištění zároveň poukazují na důležitou roli aktivního individuálního přístupu migrantů a jejich schopnosti navazovat kontakty s majoritní společností. Práce dochází k závěru, že integrace migrantů v Italské republice je komplexní proces ovlivněný jak podmínkami trhu práce a italskou společností, tak i individualitou migrantů. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor’s thesis examines the economic and sociocultural integration of North African migrants in the labour market of the Italian Republic. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the position of these migrants in the labour market and to identify the main barriers to their integration in both the economic and sociocultural environment. The thesis combines a theoretical framework of migration and integration with an empirical analysis of quantitative data from 2014–2023 and a qualitative study based on semi-structured interviews with migrants from selected countries. The results of the quantitative analysis reveal persistent inequalities between migrants and the majority population, particularly in terms of unemployment, job quality and overqualification. The qualitative part further identifies specific barriers to integration, most notably language barriers, limited access to adequate employment opportunities and the importance of social networks. The findings also highlight the significant role of migrants’ individual agency and their ability to establish connections with the host society. The thesis concludes that the integration of migrants in the Italian Republic is a complex process influenced both by labour market conditions and the broader societal context, as well as by migrants’ individual characteristics. |
