The thesis explores the intellectual roots and theoretical underpinnings of reaganomics, which are rooted in the principles of free markets and minimizing the role of the state in the economy. Key components of this policy, including tax cuts, deregulation, and reductions in government spending, are analyzed with respect to their short- and long-term effects on the U.S. and global economy. The paper also addresses criticisms of reaganomics by various political and economic groups, pointing to social inequality and long-term fiscal problems as consequences of these policies. The result of this work is an objective look at the economic model of reaganomics and its actual impact on American society and economy in the 1980s. |
