Abstrakt:
This paper investigates the proliferation of the urbanisation-of-conflict hypothesis and the wider general claim that conflicts have become increasingly urban in scholarly and non-academic literature. It analyses the assertions made by scholars and their wider implications . It analyses the constituent terms and subsequently produces an original data-driven analysis. It finds the urbanisation-of-conflict hypothesis to be empirically problematic as a nomothetic assertion quantitatively, corroborating other studies that have taken similar approaches.

Abstrakt:
Tato práce zkoumá šíření hypotézy urbanizace konfliktu a širšího obecného tvrzení, že konflikty se stávají stále více městskými, v akademické i neakademické literatuře. Analyzuje tvrzení akademiků a jejich širší důsledky. Analyzuje jednotlivé pojmy a následně vytváří originální analýzu založenou na datech. Shledává hypotézu urbanizace konfliktu empiricky problematickou jako nomotetické tvrzení, což kvantitativně potvrzuje i další studie, které zvolily podobný přístup.
