The bachelor thesis is a systematic literature review engaged in the analysis of artificial intelligence and cognitive computing in relation to operation management. A descriptive and an explanatory design for the whole paper was chosen to guarantee that the proof acquired empowers the author to viably address all the research problems as unambiguously as could be expected under any circumstance. The research problem that faced the author was the gap between studies in term of how researchers and previous studies do not integrate both artificial intelligence and cognitive computing but instead choose to talk about each separately. Throughout the paper, the author was able to prove how operation management and the five performance objectives are and will continue to be impacted by artificial intelligence and cognitive computing. And by the end of the thesis, with sufficient evidence, it became clear that operations management will defiantly improve overtime and gradually help businesses operate at a very efficient pace, when integrated with the advanced technologies of artificial intelligence and cognitive computing but businesses will also face a lot of roadblocks in order to reach effective operational supremacy.
Klíčová slova: Flexibility; Artificial Intelligence (AI); Dependability; Operational Management; Quantum Computer; Cognitive Computing; Quality; Speed; Cost; Neural Networks
