Abstrakt:
The objective of this thesis is to provide the reader with a wider understanding of the concept of motivation, the different theories associated with it, and the manager’s role in motivation of employees. The aim of the research conducted in this thesis is to evaluate whether different working modes influence employee motivation and whether Hybrid-working mode results in the highest motivation levels among employees. The theoretical part reviews literature, including key terms and theories on the topics of motivation and remote working. The practical part of the thesis outlines and analyses the study that has been conducted in the form of quantitative research. Data collection took place in the form of a distributed questionnaire among employees to observe how different working modes influence the employees’ motivation via the influence on employees’ various experience factors. A follow-up 3-question interview was further conducted with team leaders from company X, to see if their answers supported the findings from the distributed questionnaire and to aid in the answering of the outlined research questions. The contribution of this work lies in the proposal of implementation of a certain working mode that should lead to the highest levels of employees’ certain experience factors as well as increased motivation levels.
