Analýza a srovnání navigačních prvků používaných ve webových aplikacích

The bachelor thesis analyzes currently available desktop types of web navigation (menus). The work sets itself the task of finding out whether the style and position of the navigation influences the user experience on the page - and possibly determine which kind of web navigation is best for the user in terms of functionality and design. The author of the thesis verifies the hypothesis about the type of navigation that he considers to be the most suitable for the user. He wants to confirm or disprove this hypothesis. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The first, theoretical part, explains the basic characteristics and history of the web as such, mentions the web technologies used and gives a closer look at the current trends in the field of creating web navigation. It also addresses the future of web navigation and explores possible future trends in the industry. The practical part deals with the implementation itself, during which a robust test application is created, capable of guiding respondents through the research and at the same time recording all relevant data, which is then used to analyze the behavior of visitors. The research will then be divided into two parts. The first will use a smaller number of respondents for a deeper investigation of their behavior on prepared websites. Respondents will be asked about their processes of understanding web navigation, and their activity on the website will be monitored. The second part will include a larger number of respondents who will complete behavioral tests with different types of navigation and will be asked about their preferences regarding different types of navigation on the website. From the evaluated research, a collection of recommendations will be written regarding the ideal type of web navigation for users.
