The public sector is increasingly incorporating AI-based technologies into its operations, presenting substantial potential benefits. However, several challenges need to be addressed for successful implementation. This study explores the advantages and disadvantages of using AI in governance and offers potential solutions to associated problems. Utilizing a quantitative strategy combined with descriptive techniques, the research highlights the opportunities for government agencies to enhance public services, decision-making, and accountability through AI systems. Nonetheless, the study also identifies significant challenges, such as concerns over biased decision-making and the protection of personal information and data. The findings suggest that while AI can greatly improve governmental functions, careful consideration and mitigation of these challenges are essential for effective and equitable implementation.
