| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vztahem mezi označením potravin datem spotřeby („use by“) a minimální trvanlivostí („best before“) a vnímanou kvalitou a spotřebitelským chováním. Studie naznačuje, že spotřebitelé tato označení často nerozlišují, což může souviset s předčasným vyhazováním potravin. Výsledky ukazují, že typ datového označení je spojen s vnímanou kvalitou potravin a souvisejícím spotřebitelským rozhodováním. Získané poznatky mohou přispět k jasnějšímu označování potravin, lepší orientaci spotřebitelů v údajích uvedených na obalech a efektivnějšímu nakládání s potravinami. |

| Abstract: | This master’s thesis explores the relationship between food labeling in terms of expiration dates (“use by”) and minimum durability dates (“best before”) and their impact on perceived food quality and consumer behavior. The study indicates that consumers frequently fail to distinguish between these types of labels, which may contribute to the premature disposal of food. The findings suggest that the type of date labeling is significantly associated with perceived food quality and subsequent consumer decision-making. These insights may contribute to the development of clearer food labeling practices, enhance consumer understanding of on-package information, and support more efficient and sustainable food management. |
