| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá investováním do setů stavebnice LEGO jako specifickou formou alternativní investice. Na základě dat získaných z databází BrickEconomy a BrickLink analyzuje výnosnost investic do setů LEGO a faktory ovlivňující jejich tržní hodnotu na sekundárním trhu. Pomocí hedonických regresních modelů, logistické regrese a probitové regrese je zkoumán vliv vybraných charakteristik setů na jejich cenu, výnosnost a pravděpodobnost nadprůměrného zhodnocení. Výsledky práce ukazují, že tržní hodnota i výnosnost setů LEGO jsou významně ovlivněny konkrétními vlastnostmi jednotlivých produktů a že některé sety mohou dosahovat výrazného cenového zhodnocení. Přínosem práce je vytvoření empirické analýzy relativně málo prozkoumané oblasti investování do stavebnice LEGO a rozšíření dosavadního poznání o fungování sekundárního trhu se sběratelskými statky. |

| Abstract: | This thesis focuses on investing in LEGO sets as a specific form of alternative investment. Based on data obtained from the BrickEconomy and BrickLink databases, it analyzes the profitability of investments in LEGO sets and the factors influencing their market value on the secondary market. Using hedonic regression models, logistic regression, and probit regression, the thesis examines the influence of selected set characteristics on their price, profitability, and probability of above-average appreciation. The results show that both the market value and profitability of LEGO sets are significantly influenced by specific characteristics of individual products and that some sets may achieve substantial price appreciation. The contribution of the thesis lies in the creation of an empirical analysis of the relatively under-researched area of investing in LEGO sets and in expanding the existing knowledge of the functioning of the secondary market for collectible goods. |
