| Abstract: | Kanada disponuje obrovským nerostným bohatstvím počínaje ropou, zemním plynem, uhlím a uranem. Jako čistý exportér těchto komodit, ale také špičkových technologií a služeb energetického průmyslu, má Kanadská konfederace velice příhodné podmínky pro úspěšnou energetickou politiku. Ropný a plynárenský průmysl patří mezi nejvíce podporované sektory. V šedesátých letech byl za tímto účelem trh regulován a odbyt byl zajišťován nuceným odběrem domácími subjekty, zatímco dnes je volena cesta tržní liberalizace a fiskálních pobídek. Přes nesporný ekonomický přínos však rostoucí podíl exportních objemů ropy a zemního plynu na celkové produkci přináší obavy o budoucí energetickou bezpečnost a životní prostředí. Kanada navíc vstupuje do nové éry těžby ropy z bitumenových písků, což je považováno za jednu z nejzávažnějších ekologických hrozeb kanadské blízké budoucnosti. Kanadský politický systém je hluboce decentralizován a tato práce pojednává o nutnosti spolupráce mezi federální a provinční úrovní vládnutí, jakkoliv jsou jejich energetické politiky rozdílné. |

| Abstract: | Canada dispose of a rich variety of energy resources including oil, gas, coal and uranium. As a net exporter of all these commodities and all the related top technologies and services, the Canadian Confederation has all the favorable conditions for a successful energy policy. Oil and gas industry was one of the most supported sectors of the Canadian economy. Many regulations were established in the 60's. Significant Federal and Provincial tax incentives were available for the development of the industry. But now, liberalization seems to be the new rule. Despite considerable economic gain, increasing proportion of oil and gas exportations, compared to the total production, brings concerns about the future energy security and the environment. Moreover, the beginning of the bitumen sand production represents the biggest ecology threat in the Canadian near future. As the system of governance is deeply decentralized in Canada, this report shows the necessity of federal-provincial cooperation, no matter the differences in the individual energy policies. |
