| Abstract: | Práce vychází z prostorového pojetí informační společnosti, jmenovitě z prací S. Sassen a M. Castellse. Jejich teorie je v úvodní části práce představena. Cílem práce je statistickými metodami na datech pocházejících z nadnárodních institucí pro každý kulturní okruh ověřit univerzální platnost hypotézy o vlivu internetu na rozvoj společnosti a prostorové koncentraci. Zatímco ve všech kulturních okruzích se podařilo prokázat vliv internetu na výši HDP na obyvatele a zpětně vliv výše HDP na obyvatele na penetraci internetu, hypotézy spojené s prostorovou transformací se nepotvrdily. Z tohoto důvodu je navrženo položit si otázku, co či kdo stojí za transformací urbánní struktury země v informační společnosti. |

| Abstract: | This paper is based on the spatial theory of information society, more precisely on the work of S. Sassen and M. Castells. This theory is introduced in the first part of this paper. The main goal of the work is to perform statistical analyses of empirical data, which are mostly from international institutions, for each region and in this way to examine the universal validity of hypotheses about the impact of the internet on the economic performance, as well as spatial transformation. While in all regions the correlation between internet and GDP per capita was proved, the hypothesis connected with spatial transformation was not proved. Because of this is has been suggested to further examine the reasons behind the transformation of urban structure in the information society. |
