Abstract:
Práce identifikuje roli e-businessu a ICT v ekonomice současné Evropské unie a jejich úlohu ve zvyšování její konkurenceschopnosti na globální scéně. Dále mapuje a hodnotí podporu veřejného sektoru Evropské unie pro tuto důležitou složku moderní ekonomiky. Práce také popisuje současný stav e-businessu a ICT v Evropské unii a ve světě a nastiňuje jejich pravděpodobný budoucí vývoj.

Thesis identifies the role of e-business and ICT in the economy of the present European Union and their function in increasing EU's competitiveness in the world's economy. It maps and evaluates help of the public sector of the European Union for this important component of modern economy. Thesis also describes current state of e-business and ICT both in the European Union and the world and outlines their probable future development.
