| Abstract: | El objetivo de la tesina es realizar una aportación crítica y descriptiva de la situación actual de las tendencias integradoras en el ámbito económico y político de América Latina. El análisis del proyecto del ALCA, al cual se dedica la primera parte, posibilita ver cuáles fueron las dificultades y de qué manera los procesos impulsados pueden contribuir al desarrollo de la naciente Unión Suramericana. El aspecto central de la tesis, presentado en la segunda parte, es el estudio de la UNASUR, de los motivos para su creación y el estado presente de la Unión. Como la situación política actual influye mucho los procesos integradores, se la dedica la tercera parte de la tesis. |

| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se věnuje integračním snahám v Latinské Americe. První část práce se zaměřuje na zónu volného obchodu Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA), repektive na důvody, které způsobily neúspěch tohoto projektu. Druhá část se zabývá právě vznikající Unii Jihoamerických států (Unión de las Naciones Suramericanas - UNASUR), motivy jejího vytvoření a analýzou tohoto nového ekonomického bloku. Třetí část nastiňuje současnou politickou situaci, která významnou měrou ovlivňuje proces budování UNASUR. |

| Abstract: | The objective of the thesis is to describe and analyse the processes of integration in Latin America. The first part focuses on the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA), especially on the reasons which caused the failure of the project. The second part targets the new born Union of South-American Nations (UNASUR), the motives for its creation and analysis of the actual state of affairs. The third part presents the current political situation which is crucial for the succesfull operating of the UNASUR. |
