| Abstract: | Práce se zaměřuje na politiku ochrany spotřebitele v rámci Evropské unie. Základní přehled o současné spotřebitelské legislativě je zasazen do kontextu jejího vývoje. Práce také zmiňuje strategie a programy v rámci této politiky. Dále mapuje instituce zajišťující ochranu spotřebitele v EU -- a to jak unijní instituce, tak některé spotřebitelské organizace. V neposlední řadě si práce klade za cíl informovat o možnostech uplatnění práv spotřebitelů v EU vyplývající z přeshraničních nákupů. Pro tento účel nejdříve podává stručný popis jednotlivých práv občanů v roli spotřebitelů a poté uvádí možné způsoby uplatnění těchto práv, které nabízí právní úprava Společenství a které vycházejí z její iniciativy. |

| Abstract: | The consumer protection is a very actual topic in the european policy. It is necessary for the right function of the internal market. The document mentions the development of the consumer protection policy - the past and the future strategy. The valid legislation is listed and also mentioned is the Proposal for a Directive on Consumer Rights. It gives an overview of european consumer organisations and their function . There are also mentioned some alternatives of the consumer's redress. Document introduces consumer rights. |
