| Abstract: | Ve své práci analyzuji, na pozadí světového vývoje chápání rozvoje a životního prostředí, reakce Světové banky na environmentální kritiky a vývoj environmentálního aspektu její činnosti. Analyzuji příčiny a výsledky reforem Banky prováděné v reakcích na tento vývoj. Provádím stručný nástin modelu Principal - Agent, který na případ Světové banky aplikuji. |

| Abstract: | On the background of the world's evolving view of the terms "environment" and "development", I am analysing the ways the World Bank reacted to this process of evolution, and its reactions to the criticisms aimed on the World Bank's environmental activities. I am analysing the reasons for and outcomes of the World Bank's reforms performed in reaction to that evolution. I am shortly outlining the Principal - Agent model, which I am then applying to the World Bank's case. |
