| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce zkoumá dopad francouzsko-německých vztahů na proces evropské integrace v kontextu tzv. nové generace státníků, prezidenta Jacquese Chiraca a kancléře Gerharda Schroedera, kteří poválečným francouzsko-německým vztahům vtiskli nový charakter. Do té doby obě země ochotny k ústupkům ve prospěch Společenství, se najednou nacházely na rozcestí a zdálo se, že se vydají na cestu důrazného prosazování národních zájmů. Úkolem práce bylo dokázat, zda k tomu skutečně došlo a zda a jak tím případně utrpěl evropský integrační proces. |

| Abstract: | This theses examines the franco-german relations in the context of "new generation" of politicians - french president Jacques Chirac and german chancellor Gerhard Schroeder.They both influenced franco-german relations in different way than it used to be. Friendly post-war relations, opened to compromises on behalf of european integration were replaced by cold and vehement enforcement of national interests. The aim of the work was to confirm or disprove this change and eventually how and in which way it has influenced the process of European integration. |
