| Abstract: | Indonésii, Malajsii a Thajsku - označovaným jako asijské nově industrializované země II. generace (ANIZ II) - se podařilo během posledních 50-ti let úspěšně pokročit v industrializaci a zároveň zaznamenaly vysoký hospodářský růst. Jsou zároveň zakládajícími členy regionální integrace Sdružení národů jihovýchodní Asie (ASEAN). Jak ANIZ II tak ASEAN prošly v posledních desetiletích mnohými změnami a tato práce se snaží identifikovat, jaké je jejich vzájemné postavení v současnosti. První kapitola se zabývá faktory, které měly vliv na hospodářský vývoj a industrializaci v ASEANu. Druhá kapitola vysvětluje obecně motivy rozvojových zemí pro účast v regionální integraci a dále pak popisuje založení a vývoj sdružení ASEAN. Třetí kapitola pak zkoumá význam a postavení zemí ANIZ II v rámci ASEANu a to z ekonomického a politického hlediska. |

| Abstract: | Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, which are known as the second-tier Southeast Asian newly industrializing countries (NICs), advanced in industrialization and achieved high growth rates during past 50 years. These countries are also founding members of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN). Both the countries and the ASEAN have experienced a lot of changes and this paper tries to identify their current mutual position. First chapter describes the factors which influenced the economic development and industrialization in the second-tier NICs. Second chapter explains the reason of the developing countries to pursue regional integration and then characterize the establishment and development of ASEAN. Third chapter examines the importance and the position of second-tier NICs in the ASEAN from economic and politic perspective. |
