| Abstract: | Stěžejním tématem této práce je analýza vývoje sporu mezi Československem a Polskem o oblast Těšínského Slezska v letech 1918 až 1945 a jeho dopady na klima československo-polských vztahů. Celá problematika je zasazena do rámce aktuálního dění na mezinárodní politické scéně a je na ni nahlíženo ne jako na pouhou regionální problematiku, ale jako na jeden ze základních problémů mezinárodních vztahů, na spor dvou států o "hraniční" území motivovaný zejména zájmy strategickými a ekonomickými. Spor je rovněž rozebrán po teoretické stránce dle metodologie publikované ve Waisová, Š.: Řešení konfliktů v mezinárodních vztazích. Dále je pak v práci zmapována současná situace na Těšínsku s důrazem na postavení polské menšiny. Toto je podloženo dotazníkovým průzkumem zaměřeným na kvalitu soužití různých národnostních skupin v regionu. |

| Abstract: | In the main part of the thesis the conflict between Czechoslovakia and Poland over Teschen Silesia (1918-1945) is being analyzed and its impacts on the climate of Czech-Polish relations considered. Nevertheless, the whole issue is set into the frame of current events on the international political scene and is regarded not only as a regional matter but as one of the fundamental problems of international relations -- a conflict between two states over a border territory motivated by strategic and economic intentions. From the theoretical point of view, the conflict is applied on the methodology published in Waisová, Š.: Řešení konfliktů v mezinárodních vztazích.Further on the thesis deals with the current situation in the Teschen region with the emphasis on the position of the Polish national minority. That is supported by a survey focused on the quality of coexistence of various national groups in the region. |
