| Abstract: | Rozšíření Evropské unie v letech 2004 a 2007 znamenala důležitý mezník v historii. EU se rozrostla o deset zemí bývalého východního bloku, které jsou ekonomicky méně vyspělé než původní země EU 15. Předkládaná práce se zabývá hospodářským vývojem zemí EU 10 v období 2004 -- 2008. Vývoj je přiblížen prostřednictvím analýzy základních makroekonomických ukazatelů (růst HDP, míra inflace a nezaměstnanosti, bilance veřejných rozpočtů, vnitřní dluh, saldo BÚ platební bilance a zahraniční zadluženost). Hlavní část práce je členěna z teritoriálního hlediska. V závěru práce je uvedena komparace hospodářského vývoje jednotlivých zemí EU 10. |

| Abstract: | The enlargement of the EU in the year 2004 and 2007 represents a unique moment in the history. Ten former socialist countries with lower economic level (in comparison to old member states) became members of the EU. This master thesis deals with economic development of the EU 10 countries between 2004 and 2008. To describe the development basic macroeconomic indicators are used (growth of GDP, inflation rate, unemployment rate, public balance, general government debt, current account of balance of payments and external debt). The main part of the thesis is divided into chapters according to territorial principle. The thesis concludes with comparison of economic development of the EU 10 countries. |
