| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá perspektivou přijetí eura v České republice za současných podmínek. Je zde popsán proces přistoupení země k Hospodářské a měnové unii, srovnání kritérií nominální a reálné konvergence a dosavadní vývoj plnění podmínek přijetí Českou republikou. V další části práce je srovnáván vývoj ekonomik České a Slovenské republiky podle vybraných ukazatelů v letech 2004 -- 2008, kdy měly obě země své národní měny, a v roce 2009, kdy Slovensko přijalo euro. Analýza má za cíl ukázat, zda je pro ekonomiku při současné hospodářské krizi výhodnější přijmout euro a jaké jsou vyhlídky České republiky pro jeho přijetí. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis deals with the prospect of introducing the euro in the Czech Republic under the actual circumstances. The process of entering the Economic and Monetary Union is described, as well as the criteria comparison of nominal and real convergence and the hitherto development of fulfilment of conditions for introducing the euro in the Czech Republic. The other part of the diploma work compares, according to some chosen data, the development of Czech and Slovak Economies in 2004-2008, when both countries had their national currencies, and in 2009 when euro was introduced in the Slovak Republic. The aim of the analysis is to show, whether it is more beneficial for the economy to introduce euro in the current economic crisis and the prospects of euro introduction in the Czech Republic. |
