| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V první části se zabývám přímými zahraničními investicemi a jejich vztahem ke konkurenceschopnosti, v následující části pak aplikuji tuto problematiku na Jihomoravský kraj. V první kapitole obecně charakterizuji přímé zahraniční investice, druhá je věnována dopadům zahraničních investic na národní ekonomiku. V následující kapitole stručně nastíním historii vývoje přímých zahraničních investic v ČR a přiblížím současnou situaci naší země v této oblasti. Čtvrtá kapitola pojednává o konkurenční schopnosti ČR. V poslední kapitole popisuji a analyzuji vliv investic na hospodářství Jihomoravského kraje, v závěru navrhuji opatření ke zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti. |

| Abstract: | This thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part I deal with foreign direct investment and its relation to competitiveness, in the following part I apply this issue to the South Moravia Region. In the first chapter I characterize in general foreign direct investments, the second one is devoted to impacts of foreign investments on national economy. In the following chapter I briefly outline history of foreign direct investments in the Czech Republic and decribe current situation of our country in this field. The fourth chapter deals with competitiveness of the Czech Republic. In the last chapter I describe and analyze effect of investments on the economy of the South Moravia Region, in the end I propose measures in order to increase competitiveness. |
