| Abstract: | This master thesis describes and proves how companies can improve their operational performance and supplier relationships by using modern collaborative and planning practices, specifically the Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) concept. The theoretical part depicts main developments in supply chain planning over time, shows common challenges in the world of supply chain and offers possible solutions in terms of collaborative supply chain planning practices. The practical part analyzes the CPFR process between one of the leading providers of telecommunications services T-Mobile and its major mobile handset supplier Nokia. The concluding part defines gaps between an ideal to-be process of supply chain collaboration and the status quo process. Status quo benefits of current CPFR processes are described as well. |

| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce analyzuje a dokazuje, jakým způsobem mohou firmy zlepšit svou výkonnost a provozní efektivitu zaváděním moderních kolaborativních plánovacích přístupů. Konkrétně se jedná zejména o koncept CPFR - Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment. Teoretická část popisuje historický vývoj plánovacích systémů v oblasti integrovaných dodavatelských řetězců, poukazuje na největší současné překážky ve světě supply chainu a nabízí jejich možná řešení v podobě kolaborativních plánovacích přístupů. Praktická část se zabývá analýzou CPFR procesu mezi jedním z předních poskytovatelů mobilních telekomunikačních služeb, firmou T-Mobile, a jejím hlavním dodavatelem mobilních komunikačních zařízení, firmou Nokia. Závěrečná část definuje potenciál pro zlepšení CPFR procesů těchto firem s ohledem na ideální proces spolupráce a současný stav plánovacích procesů v jejich dodavatelském řetězci. Zároveň jsou popsány současné přínosy již zavedených CPFR procesů. |
