| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá předsednictvím České republiky v Radě Evropské unie, které probíhalo v první polovině roku 2009. Hlavními dvěma cíli bylo popsat proběhnuté předsednictví v kontextu kongresového cestovního ruchu a analyzovat dopad předsednictví na cestovní ruch v České republice. V diplomové práci jsou podrobně popsány mechanizmy, jak probíhala organizace předsednictví, tedy jak byly organizovány kongresy a konference EU uskutečněné na území ČR během předsednictví. Dále pak na základě statistických dat analyzuje krátkodobé i dlouhodobé vlivy předsednictví na cestovní ruch a kongresový cestovní ruch ČR. Teoretickým základem práce je charakteristika cestovního ruchu, kongresového cestovního ruchu, Rady EU a předsednictví v Radě EU. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis deals with the presidency of the Czech Republic in the European Union which was in progress during the first half of 2009. Two main goals of the thesis were, first, to describe the presidency in context of congress tourism and, second, to analyze the impacts of the presidency on tourism in the Czech Republic. In the thesis there is described the mechanism of the organization of the presidency in detail, i.e. how were organized the conferences and congresses of the EU taking place in the Czech Republic during the presidency. Then, there is an analysis of both short-run and long-run impacts of the presidency on tourism and congress tourism in the Czech Republic. The thesis is theoretically based on characteristics of tourism, congress tourism, Council of the EU and the presidency in the Council. |
