| Abstract: | Mexico and Europe have strong historical and cultural ties. Nowadays, even though the main commercial partner for Mexico is the United States there is a high interest in strengthen the relationship with the EU, to diversify trading partners and to reduce the dependency on the USA. In the framework of the diversification strategy the "Global Agreement", which main part is the European Union-Mexico Free Trade Agreement (EUMFTA), was signed. Even though the most industrialized countries of the EU such as Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy are the priority for Mexico, it would also like to strengthen its relations with other EU member countries such as the Czech Republic. Mexico and the Czech Republic have reinforced their trade relation by signing bilateral agreements aimed at encouraging bilateral trade cooperation and also at protecting their investments. |

| Abstract: | Mexiko a Evropa mají silné historické a kulturní vazby. V současné době, i když hlavním obchodním partnerem Mexika jsou USA, existuje velký zájem posílit vztahy s EU, diverzifikovat obchodní partnery a redukovat závislost na USA. V rámci diversifikační strategie byla podepsána tzv. Globální dohoda, jejíž podstatnou částí je Dohoda o volném obchodu mezi EU a Mexikem (EUMFTA). Ačkoli jsou prioritními partnery pro Mexiko nejvíce industrializované země EU, jako je Německo, Nizozemí, UK, Španělsko a Itálie, rádo by také posílilo své vztahy s ostatními členskými státy EU, např. s ČR. Mexiko a ČR posílily své obchodní vztahy podpisem dvoustranné dohody zaměřené na podporu vzájemného obchodu a na ochranu investic. |
