| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je poskytnout ucelený přehled informací o destinaci Malta z pohledu cestovního ruchu. V první části se zabývám obecným popisem této země: geografie, demografická struktura, politické uspořádání apod. Následně se již zaměřuji na oblast cestovního ruchu: podmínky pro jeho rozvoj v členění na stimulační, lokalizační a realizační, současný stav a výkon cestovního ruchu na Maltě, systém řízení a financování ze státních fondů i fondů Evropské unie. Zaměřuji se na vzájemné vztahy v oblasti cestovního ruchu mezi Maltou a Českou republikou, české cestovní kanceláře, organizující zájezdy na Maltu a naopak maltští touroperátoři, kteří mají ve své nabídce zájezdy do České republiky. Veškeré získané informace jsem využila pro sestavení SWOT analýzy a posouzení předpokladů a výzev pro další rozvoj cestovního ruchu Malty. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive overview of information about the destination of Malta in terms of tourism. The first part deals with a general description of the country: geography, population structure, political structure, etc. Subsequently, it focuses on tourism: the conditions for its development in the breakdown of stimulation, positioning and implementation, current status and performance of tourism in Malta, governance and funding from state funds and also from funds of the European Union. I examine mutual relations in the field of tourism between Malta and the Czech Republic: Czech travel agencies organizing tours to Malta and vice versa Maltese tour operators who have in their offer tours to the Czech Republic. All obtained information is finally used within the compilation of the SWOT analysis and assessment of assumptions and challenges for further tourism development in Malta. |
