| Abstract: | Tato práce pojednává o problematice minimální mzdy. Statutární minimální mzda, jakožto zásah do trhu práce, je často vnímána negativně. Přesto tento nástroj používá většina států Evropské unie. V teoretické části této práce jsou mimo jiné shrnuty základní funkce a dopady minimální mzdy. V další části je popsán vývoj minimální mzdy v České republice. Porovnáním výší minimálních mezd v Evropské unii se zabývá praktická část. |

| Abstract: | This work deals with the issue of minimum wage. The statutory minimum wage -- as a labour market intervention -- is often perceived in a negative way. In spite of these opinions, the majority of European Union's countries use this instrument. Among others, there are summarized basic functions and impacts of the minimum wage in the theoretical part of this paper. Next part describes the development of the minimum wage in the Czech Republic. The analytical part of this work deals with a comparison of minimum wages in the European Union. |
