| Abstract: | Cílem bakalářské práce je zpracovat problematiku severoirského konfliktu a jeho řešení a určit, co je podstatou konfliktu a jaký je jeho možný vývoj do budoucna. Z důvodu angažovanosti IRA v konfliktu je rovněž cílem vymezit pojem terorismus a zhodnotit, zda lze na IRA nahlížet jako na teroristickou organizaci. V první části práce se zabývám analýzou historických souvislostí a předpoklady vzniku konfliktu. Nastiňuji zde vývoj do období krátce po rozdělení ostrova. V následující kapitole se zabývám samotným vymezením pojmu terorismus a jeho hlavními rysy, vývojovými stádii, v čem se odlišuje proti klasické válce a guerilly a jeho typovému rozdělení. Dále je zde nastíněn původ Irské republikánské armády a s jakými prvky terorismu se IRA ztotožňuje. V poslední části práce se pak zabývám konkrétní analýzou severoirského konfliktu od rozdělení ostrova a procesem jeho řešení. |

| Abstract: | The aim of Bachelor thesis is to process the issue of Northern Ireland conflict and its resolution and to determine the constitutes of the conflict and its possible development in the future. Because of involvement of IRA in the conflict it is also the aim to define the concept of terrorism and to assess whether the IRA is regarded as a terrorist organization. The first chapter deals with analysis of historical contexts and assumptions of the conflict. This chapter focuses on development in the period shortly after the partition of the island in 1921. The next chapter deals with the definition of the term of terrorism and its main features, developmental stages, differences between conventional and guerrilla war and its type-distribution. It also outlines the origins of the Irish Republican Army, and what elements of terrorism, the IRA shares. The last chapter includes the concrete analysis of Northern Ireland conflict since partition of the island and the process of its solution. |
