| Abstract: | Tato práce se věnuje evropskému zatýkacímu rozkazu a to jak obecné rovině, tak především použití tohoto nástroje v praxi. Práce nejprve obecně pojednává o vývoji justiční spolupráce do přijetí Rámcového rozhodnutí o evropském zatýkacím rozkazu a srovnává evropský zatýkací rozkaz s institutem extradice a shrnuje jeho základní rysy. Dále pak zkoumá problémy, které se objevily v některých členských státech EU při implementaci tohoto přelomového nástroje. Závěrečná část je věnován praktické realizaci evropského zatýkacího rozkazu, především četnosti jeho používání, ochotě využívat možnosti nově zavedené evropským zatýkacím rozkazem, způsobům doručování evropských zatýkacích rozkazů a dodržování lhůt. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with European arrest warrant both in general and, primarily, in praxis. In the first part it describes historical development of the judicial cooperation leading to the adoption of the Framework Decision on the European Arrest Warrant. Then the European arrest warrant and extradition are compared and its key principles encapsulated. Further, the thesis discusses problems which occurred during implementation of this instrument in some of the Member states of the EU. Last chapter of this thesis offers a study of practical operation of the European arrest warrant. It is focused particularly on the number of European arrest warrants, willingness of the states to apply the possibilities established in the Framework decision, the ways of transmitting European arrest warrants and respecting of the given time limits. |
