| Abstract: | Práce pojednává o energetické bezpečnosti Evropské unie a České republiky v kontextu vztahů s Ruskem. Je zaměřena na Rusko, jako na největšího dovozce energetických zdrojů do těchto regionů. Energetická závislost Evropské unie a České republiky na Rusku převyšuje 50 %. Tato závislost je nevyhnutelná z důvodu nedostatku vlastních energetických zdrojů EU a ČR a navíc nebezpečná kvůli častému nedemokratickému chování Ruska. Mezeru v poptávce po energetických zdrojích není možné pokrýt ani pomocí alternativních zdrojů, které jsou v práci rozděleny na zdroje obnovitelné a jadernou energetiku. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis dissertates about energy security of the European Union and the Czech Republic in the context of the foreign relations with Russia. It is focused on Russia as the biggest supplier of energy resources to the fore mentioned regions. Energy dependence of EU and the Czech Republic on Russia exceeds 50 %. This dependency is inevitable and is caused by the insufficiency of EU's and Czech Republic's own resources and above all it is very dangerous because of Russia's frequent nondemocratic behavior. The gap in demand of energy resources cannot be covered even by alternative energy recourses, which are in this thesis divided into renewable recourses and nuclear energy. |
