| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá konceptem Fair Trade jako alternativní formou obchodu snažící se o redukci chudoby a podporu producentů z rozvojových zemí, kteří jsou podle příznivců Fair Trade na světových trzích znevýhodněni. Cílem práce je analyzovat přínosy a nedostatky Fair Trade a na jejich základě zjistit, zda je z dlouhodobého hlediska možné tímto způsobem efektivně snížit chudobu v rozvojových zemích. Práce přibližuje současnou situaci v rozvojových zemích, základní charakteristiku a fungování Fair Trade, popisuje mezinárodní obchod s kávou a otázku tržní vs. spravedlivé ceny na příkladu kávy, analyzuje principy mikrofinancování a v poslední kapitole hodnotí pozitiva a negativa Fair Trade. |

| Abstract: | This thesis consider the Fair Trade concept as an alternative form of the trade solving poverty and promoting disadvantaged producers living in the developing countries. The major objective is to analyse benefits and inadequacies of the Fair Trade and to find out if it is possible from long-term point of view to reduce the poverty in the developing countries effectively. The thesis describes the present circumstances in the developing countries, the basic characteristics and the functioning of Fair Trade, the international trade with the coffee and the problem of clearing and Fair Trade price of the coffee and the problem of microfinancing. The last chapter evaluates advantages and disadvantages of Fair Trade. |
