| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá novou zahraniční strategií USA vůči terorismu. Hlavní otázkou práce je, jakou koncepci hodlá uplatňovat, popřípadě uplatňuje prezident USA Barack Obama jako rámec pro zahraniční politiku Spojených států vůči terorismu a vůči státům, které terorismus přímo či nepřímo podporují nebo teroristy nečinně trpí na svém území. Práce nejdříve mapuje předchozí tradice americké zahraniční politiky. Poté následuje analýza koncepce "zadržování" tak, jak ji definuje Ian Shapiro ve své knize Politika zadržování. Třetí část analyzuje současnou zahraniční politiku prezidenta USA Baracka Obamy a porovnává ji s prvky koncepce Iana Shapira. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda prezident Obama využívá koncepci "zadržování" ve své zahraniční politice vůči terorismu. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the new foreign strategy of USA against the terrorism. The main question of the thesis is which concept the President of the USA Barack Obama is planning to apply as a framework for the foreign policy of the United States against the terrorism and towards the states which directly or indirectly support the terrorists or abide them in their territory. At first, previous traditions of the American foreign policy are mapped. Than follows the analysis of the concept of "containment" according to definition from the book "Containment" by Ian Shapiro. The third part analyzes contemporary foreign policy of the President of the USA Barack Obama and compares it with constituents of the concept by Ian Shapiro. The objective of this thesis is to find out whether the President uses the concept of "containment" in his policy against the terrorism. |
