| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá ideou československé státnosti, předkládá návrhy čelních státníků na zařazení československého státu ve střední Evropě. Dále je zaměřena na proces vzniku státu, bezprostřední události, které k němu vedly a hlavní dokumenty československé státnosti, které ke vzniku republiky přispěly. Věnuje se poválečným mírovým smlouvám zakotvující územní podobu Československa. Charakterizuje nově získaná území z geopolitického, demografického a ekonomického hlediska. Dále rozebírá jednotlivé konflikty se zahrnutými menšinami uvnitř státu a zabývá se zápasem se sousedními státy o udržení jeho celistvosti. Cílem práce je nalézt odpověď na otázku, proč se původně liberálně demokratický nepovedlo udržet. Co způsobilo nenaplnění ideje československého státu. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor's thesis deals with the idea of Czechoslovak statehood, presents proposals for the inclusion of the Czechoslovak state in Central Europe by leading Czechoslovak statesmen. It also focuses on the process of the state creation, the immediate events that led to it and the main documents of the Czechoslovak statehood, which contributed to the formation of the Republic. It is also devoted to the postwar peace treaties upholding the territorial form Czechoslovakia. The second chapter characterizes the newly acquired territory of the geopolitical, demographic and economic terms. Furthermore the thesis analyses the various conflicts with the included minorities within the state and describes the battle with neighboring states to maintain the Czechoslovak state integrity. The goal of this paper work is to answer the question why they initially failed to maintain a liberal democracy. What caused the failure to fulfill the ideas of the Czechoslovak state. |
