| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je charakterizovat hospodářský růst a na základě vybraných ukazatelů popsat jeho projevy v ekonomice Spojených států amerických na počátku třetího tisíciletí. Práce by měla sloužit jako průvodce vývojem hospodářství USA v poslední, téměř celé dekádě. Zdůrazňuje nejzajímavější momenty hospodářského vývoje poslední dekády a interpretuje je. Jako praktický úvod do bakalářské práce slouží kapitola popisující trendy vývoje hlavních makroekonomických ukazatelů v 90. letech 20. století. V hlavní části práce je pomocí osmi zvolených ukazatelů popsán a vysvětlen hospodářský vývoj Spojených států amerických od roku 2000 do roku 2009. Těmito osmi zvolenými ukazateli jsou: Hrubý domácí produkt, míra inflace, míra nezaměstnanosti, vládní výdaje na spotřebu a hrubé investice, hrubé soukromé domácí investice, osobní výdaje na spotřebu, saldo obchodní bilance zboží a služeb a federální deficit USA vyjádřený jako procento HDP. |

| Abstract: | The objective of this thesis is to describe an economic development of the United States of America at the beginning of the third millennium, on the basis of the key macroeconomic indicators. The thesis points out the most interesting moments of the economic development of the United States from 2000 to 2009 and interprets them. The main economic trends of the 1990s are presented as a practical introduction to the economic development of US in the most recent decade. The key part of the thesis examines the US economy growth between 2000 and 2009 using the detailed analysis of the development of eight selected macroeconomic indicators, such as GDP, Inflation Rate, Unemployment Rate, Government Consumption Expenditures and Gross Investment, Gross Private Domestic Investment, Personal Consumption Expenditures, Balance of Trade in Goods and Services and Federal Deficit as a Percentage of GDP. |
