| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá obchodními vztahy mezi Evropskou unií a zeměmi Severoamerické dohody o volném obchodu (NAFTA). Jejím úkolem je přiblížit jednotlivé formální vazby EU k těmto zemím a zároveň charakterizovat reálnou výměnu zboží. Z práce je patrná nejen rozdílnost přístupů Evropské unie k USA, Kanadě a Mexiku, ale zároveň i skutečnost, že intenzita obchodní výměny mezi partnery nekopíruje hloubku formálního zajištění vazeb. Ve vztahu EU se zeměmi NAFTA lze nicméně nalézt i shodné prvky, které především vycházejí ze snahy EU redukovat netarifní překážky obchodu. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis covers the trade relations between the European Union and countries participating in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The primary objective is to identify the main developments in formal coordination of EU relations towards the mentioned countries as well as to characterize real goods flows between them. This work describes the EU's different approach to establishing trade relations with each country. Furthermore, it supports the idea that the intensity of real commercial flows does not reflect the depth of formal trade agreements. Finally, this thesis also identifies certain similarities in the relations between the EU and the countries in question which are particularly related to EU's endeavor to reduce non-tariff barriers. |
