| Abstract: | Cílem práce je nalezení vhodné definice kýče a vymezení jeho role v současné populární hudbě. V teoretické části práce přináší přehled definicí kýče a jeho vztahu k umění a společnosti, přičemž vychází z teorie kýče filosofa a estetika Tomáše Kulky. V praktické části se věnuje oblasti populární hudby. Snahou je analyzovat ekonomickou úspěšnost kýče na současném hudebním průmyslu, a to se zaměřením na americký (tzn. celosvětově nejvýznamnější) hudební trh. |

| Abstract: | The subject of bachelor's thesis is to find appropriate definition of kitsch and determination of his role in contemporary popular music. Theoretic part summarizes definitions of kitsch and its relation to art and society, mainly focusing on the theory of kitsch by philosopher and aesthetician Tomáš Kulka. Practical part of the thesis focuses on the area of populat music. The effort of the practical part is to analyze economic success of kitsch on contemporary music industry with main focus on american ( most significant nowadays) industry. |
