Counter-terrorism strategies, different approaches of U.S. and Germany

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na protiteroristické koncepce dvou konkrétních aktérů medzinárodních vztahů, USA a Německa.Oba státy si uvědomují význam nebezpečí terorismu a považují ho za primární bezpečnostní hrozbu současnosti, v boji proti němu již ale zastávají odlišné přístupy. Práce analyzuje cíle, metody a prostředky, které dané státy v boji proti terorismu upřednostňují, porovnává je a hodnotí jejich komplementaritu v souvislosti s bilaterální spoluprací analyzovaných aktérů a přínos této spolupráce pro globální boj proti terorismu.

Bachelor thesis focuses on the Counter-terrorism concepts of two particular actors of international relations, U.S. and Germany. Both states are aware of the danger represented by terrorism and consider it presently as the primary security threat. However, each of them takes a different approach when combating it. Thesis analyzes goals, methods and means being preferred by these states in fight against terrorism. It compares them and evaluates their complementarity in connection with bilateral cooperation between U.S. and Germany and its contribution to global fight against terrorism.
