| Abstract: | V současných projektech BI přestává být kladen hlavní důraz na proces práce s daty. Důraz je kladen na práci s informacemi, tedy na technologie a aplikace, které umožňují dát data do souvislostí a které umožňují uživatelům přistupovat k informacím a tyto informace využívat v průběhu jejich rozhodovacího procesu. Právě analýza možností využití technologií dostupných v rámci portálových produktů pro práci s informacemi z BI systémů je předmětem této práce. Cíli práce jsou analyzovat možnosti podnikových portálů z pohledu využití podnikového portálu jako součásti podnikového BI řešení, zhodnocení situace na trhu s portálovými produkty a analýza možností portálového produktu Microsoft Sharepoint 2010. Práce je rozdělena do dvou logických částí. První část obsahuje vymezení pojmů z oblasti BI a podnikových portálů, obecné hodnocení možností portálových technologií pro BI a hodnocení situace na trhu s portálovými produkty. Druhá část se zaměřuje na nejnovější portálový produkt společnosti Microsoft Sharepoint 2010. Tato část obsahuje hodnocení funkcionality Sharepoint 2010 s ohledem na jednotlivé verze tohoto produktu. Dále je analyzováno postavení Sharepoint 2010 v současné BI strategii společnosti Microsoft a jsou hodnoceny možnosti tohoto produktu vzhledem k ostatním aplikacím z BI řešení od společnosti Microsoft. Pokud společnost uvažuje o pořízení portálového produktu, je tato práce využitelná jako zdroj obecných informací o portálových technologiích a jejich využitelnosti v podnikovém BI a o současné situaci na trhu s portálovými produkty. V případě úvah o pořízení portálového produktu Sharepoint 2010 je tato práce zdrojem konkrétních informací, které mohou přispět k rychlému a kvalitnímu rozhodnutí o vhodnosti a dostupnosti tohoto řešení pro konkrétní společnost. |

| Abstract: | In current BI projects, the main emphasis is not put on the process of working with data anymore. The main focus is on working with information -- on technologies and applications that enable to put the data into context and that make possible for the users to get access to information which they use during a decision process. The theme of the thesis is the analysis of possible ways the portal technologies that are incorporated in portal products can be used for working with information from BI systems. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the possibilities of enterprise portal from the viewpoint of its usefulness as a part of company's BI solution. Another objective is to evaluate the situation of the portal products market and to analyze the potentialities of the Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 portal product. The thesis is divided into two logical parts. The first part contains definitions of the terms connected to BI and enterprise portals. It also deals with general evaluation of the potentialities of portal technologies for BI and with evaluation of the portal products market situation. The second part focuses on Sharepoint 2010 -- the latest portal product from Microsoft. This part contains Sharepoint 2010 functionality evaluation considering the individual versions of this product. Further, the position of Sharepoint 2010 in Microsoft's current BI strategy is analyzed. The potentialities of the product as a part of Microsoft BI solution are evaluated. A company that considers buying a portal product can use the thesis as a source of general information about portal technologies and their usefulness in a company's BI. The thesis also offers up-to-date information about the current situation of the portal products' market. If the company considers buying Sharepoint 2010 portal product, the thesis is a source of detailed information which can contribute to a quick and high-quality decision on the suitability and availability of this solution. |
