| Abstract: | Práce přináší přehled hlavních demografických ukazatelů České republiky a Evropské unie. V první části se čtenář může seznámit s některými hlavními demografickými údaji a s pohledem do historie v získávání těchto údajů. Druhá část popisuje populační vývoj České republiky během let po skončení druhé světové války až do roku 2008. Dále je práce zaměřena na demografický vývoj členských států Evropské unie během let 1990 až 2007. Poslední část se zabývá shlukovou analýzou členských zemí EU, kde je snahou na základě střední délky života v roce 2002 a 2007 zhodnotit postavení České republiky v rámci Evropské unie. Cílem práce by mělo být seskupení a následné porovnání vybraných demografických ukazatelů za Českou republiku i za Evropskou unii. |

| Abstract: | Work provides an overview of the major demographic indicators, the Czech Republic and the European Union. The first part, the reader may meet with some key demographic data and looking at history in obtaining such data. The second part describes the development of the population of the Czech Republic during the years after World War II until 2008. Further the thesis focuses on the demographics of the Member States of the Union during the years 1990 to 2007. The last part deals with the cluster analysis of EU member states, which is an effort based on life expectancy in 2002 and 2007 to assess the status of the Czech Republic in the EU. The aim should be to work groups and comparing selected demographic indicators for Czech Republic and the European Union. |
