| Abstract: | Hlavní důraz práce je kladen na život a politickou kariéru francouzského poslance Roberta Schumana a s ním spojenou ideu sjednocené Evropy. Práce analyzuje situaci po 2. světové válce v západní Evropě. Zabývá se otázkou zda bylo možné prosadit ve francouzské vládě návrh Evropského společenství uhlí a oceli, aniž by nebyly použity netradiční postupy v procesu schválení. Zkoumá vztah tehdejšího ministra zahraničních věcí Francie Roberta Schumana a německého spolkového kancléře Konrada Adenauera, který příznivě ovlivnil další vývoj ve francouzsko-německém smíření. |

| Abstract: | This work puts main emphasis on life and political career of French representative Robert Schuman and his idea of European integration. The thesis analyses the situation after 2nd World War in western Europe. I pursued the question whether the proposal of European Coal and Steel Community could have been approved by French government without the employment of nontraditional process of approbation. The relationship between Robert Schuman and Konrad Adenauer, French Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and German Federal Chancellor, respectively was studied. Their relation highly influenced the progression of French-Germany reconciliation. |
