| Abstract: | Přímé zahraniční investice se v dnešním globalizovaném světě staly samozřejmostí. Česká republika přilákala zahraniční investory v 90. letech v období transformace a stala se jednou ze zemí s nejvyšším přílivem PZI ve střední a východní Evropě. Příliv PZI může na ekonomiku působit řadou efektů. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaký vliv mají PZI na trh práce v České republice a dále také co motivuje investory, aby umístili investici v jiné zemi. První část popisuje, kdy se jedná o přímou zahraniční investici a jaké jsou její efekty na hostitelskou ekonomiku. Věnuje se také vývoji přílivu PZI do ČR od 90. let 20. stol. Další část se věnuje lokalizačním faktorům, na základě kterých se investor rozhoduje o umístění své investice do určité země. Poslední kapitola na základě korelační analýzy zkoumá vztah mezi zásobou PZI v krajích, okresech a proměnnými trhu práce. Zda míra nezaměstnanosti, její meziroční změna a počet volných pracovních míst jsou závislé na PZI či ne. |

| Abstract: | Foreign direct investment has become commonplace in today's globalized world. The Czech Republic attracted foreign investors in the 1990s during the period of transition and has become one of the countries with the highest FDI inflows in Central and Eastern Europe. The inflow of FDI may impact on the economy with a wide range of effects. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out what impact FDI has on the labour market in the Czech Republic, and also what motivates investors to make an investment in another country. The first part describes when it is foreign direct investment and its effects on the host economy. It also presents the growth of FDI inflows into the Czech Republic from the last decade of the 20th century. The next part presents the localization factors upon which the investor decides on its investment into a country. The last chapter examines the relationship between the size of FDI in regions and labour market variables on the basis of correlation analysis. Whether the unemployment rate, its annual change and the number of vacancies are dependant on FDI or not. |
