| Abstract: | Práce analyzuje vliv imigrace na nezaměstnanost v České republice a snaží se odpovědět na otázku, zda imigranti zabírají domácímu obyvatelstvu pracovní místa a tím zvyšují míru nezaměstnanosti. Analýza je prováděna za období patnácti let, konkrétně v letech 1995 -- 2009. Model je vytvořen podle australské studie Popa a Witherse (1993). K odhadu je použita metoda nejmenších čtverců. Výsledkem práce je, že imigranti míru nezaměstnanosti snižují, ale tento efekt není významný. Práce dochází k závěru, že imigranti nemají velký vliv na míru nezaměstnanosti a tedy nezabírají pracovní místa domácímu obyvatelstvu. |

| Abstract: | This paper analyzes the impact of immigration on unemployment of natives in the Czech Republic. The aim of the paper is answering the question, whether immigrants take jobs of host population and thus increase the rate of unemployment in the host country. Period between the years 1995 and 2009 is analyzed. Model is inspired by Australian study written by Pope and Withers (1993). The estimation is made with the method of ordinary least squares. The results of this model indicate that immigrants decrease the rate of unemployment, but this effect is not significant. Paper reaches the conclusion that immigrants do not influence the rate of unemployment and so they do not take jobs of host population. |
