| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o vývoji dnešní Jihoafrické republiky v průběhu 20. století a jejích vztazích s Velkou Británií. Jedná se o problematiku vztahů bývalé (evropské) koloniální velmoci a její (africké) kolonie po získání samostatnosti. Práce poskytuje informace o tom, jak výrazně Velká Británie zasahovala do dění v Jihoafrické republice v průběhu 20. století, konkrétně v etapách do roku 1948, v období apartheidu (1948-1994) a po roce 1994. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis describes political development in South Africa during the twentieth century and is fucused on relations with Great Britain. It describes relations between former British Empire and its former colony -- South Africa -- after gaining its independence. The main goal is to find out whether British influence on South Africa during the twentieth century (and also in comparison of situation till year 1948, during the apartheid regime and after the end of the regime) was or wasn't significant. |
