| Abstract: | Předkládaná práce hodnotí dopady vstupu do EU na konkurenceschopnost hutních podniků, postavení českého ocelářského průmyslu v evropském a světovém kontextu a na příkladu Třineckých železáren poukazuje na povinnosti vyplývající ze členství, které musí splňovat české ocelárny. Práce je rozložena do čtyř částí, v první se zabývám charakteristikou prostředí, ve kterém se v současnosti nachází český ocelářský průmysl. V další kapitole zkoumám ocelářský průmysl v následujících geografických celcích: ve světě, v Evropské unii a v České republice. Závěrečná kapitola je věnována významu vstupu do EU pro Třinecké železárny, a.s., ekologickým opatřením, které musely Třinecké železárny přijmout. |

| Abstract: | The following paper assesses the impact of EU accession on the competitiveness of the Czech steel making companies, the position of the Czech steel industry in the European and global context . Case of ironworks Třinecké železárny shows obligations of membership, which the Czech steelworks must meet. The paper is divided into four parts, the first deals with the characteristics of the environment in which the Czech steel industry is currently found. In the next chapter I examine the steel industry in the following geographic units: the world, the European Union and the Czech Republic. The final chapter is devoted to importance of the accession to the EU for Třinecké železárny, a.s., including the environmental measures, which Trinecké železárny, a.s. had to take. |
