| Abstract: | Cílem práce je analyzovat možnost existence politického cyklu ve vybraných zemích EU. Práce nastíní různé teorie politického cyklu a na základě analýzy dat politicko-ekonomického vývoje ve vybraných zemích se pokusí ukázat na možnou existenci politického cyklu. Práce zkoumá dvě hlavní teorie politického cyklu a to politický cyklus oportunistický, kdy je hlavním motivem politiků především jejich znovuzvolení a politický cyklus ideologický, kde se politici chovají podle ideologického zaměření svých stran. V případě existence ideologického či oportunistického politického cyklu se ekonomické veličiny chovají určitým způsobem v závislosti na datu voleb, což bude předmětem analýzy při usuzování na existenci jednotlivých politických cyklů. |

| Abstract: | The aim of my diploma thesis is to analyse the posibility of existence of a political cycle in the selected european countries (Ireland and Germany). The work describes the various theories of the political cycle. I try to prove the existence of political cycle by analysing of political and economical data (inflation rate and unemployment rate). The work examines two main theories of the political cycle. These two theories are: opportunistic political cycle theory, which suppose that the main motive of the politicians are being re-elected in the next election. And ideological political cycle theory assume that politicians behavior accord to their parties ideological orientation. |
