| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá regálními politickými elitami v České republice. V první kapitole práce vymezuji pojem elita v rámci klasické teorie elit. Následně v práci líčím charakter elit v historickém vývoji od první republiky až po přelom druhého tisíciletí. Zvláštní důraz je kladen na charakteristiky elit a volební chování na počátku 90. let 20. století a transformaci elit po listopadu 1989. V bakalářské práci představuji dvě hypotézy. První o specifickém trendu politizace regionálních politických elit periferních obcí náležejících do městských spádových oblastí. A dále hypotézu o vlivu velikosti obce na pravděpodobnost obhajoby mandátu. Závěry hypotéz jsem vyvozoval na základě sběru dat vzorku komunálních voleb v období od roku 2002 do roku 2010. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor thesis deals with regional political elites in the Czech Republic. In the first charter, I define the notion of elite based on the classic theory of elites. Then I examine what sorts of elites there were in history -- since the first Republic until 2010. I concentrate particularly on the characteristics of elites, on the electoral behavior at the beginning of 1990s, and on the transformation of elites in 1989. I propose two hypotheses: the first one is about a specific trend of politicization of regional political elites in periphery municipalities that lie within town catchment areas, the second one considers the impact of the number of inhabitants living in a municipality on the probability to defend a mandate. The conclusions I arrive at are drawn from a sample of data gained from the 2002 and 2010 municipal elections. |
