| Abstract: | Práce má za cíl zhodnotit postavení zkapalněného zemního plynu jako energetického paliva v prostoru Evropské unie. Pro zhodnocení postavení jsou použity především palivo-energetické statistiky. Práce také zdůvodňuje pozici plynu pomocí dokumentů zabývajících se energetickou politikou EU a také energetickou bezpečností. Zmíňuje i evropskou plynovou krizi z roku 2009. Analyzováno je také budoucí postavení LNG v palivo-energetické bilanci EU v příštích dekádách. |

| Abstract: | Aim of the thesis is to evaluate the importance of liquefied natural gas in European Union. Mostly energy statistics of the world are used in the work to evaluate the position of LNG. The position of the gas is also described via the documents including European energy policy and energy safety. European gas crisis from the beginning of the year 2009 is mentioned too. Future position of LNG in European energy balancy is also included. |
