| Abstract: | Norské království se dlouhodobě snaží profilovat jako mírotvorný aktér mezinárodních vztahů. Na příkladu humanitární a rozvojové pomoci, která je poskytována Norskem Súdánu, se práce pokusí ukázat, zda je norský model mírotvorce ovlivňován i národními hodnotami a jestli je norská zahraniční pomoc efektivní. První dvě kapitoly představují základy hodnot norské společnosti a konfliktní situace v Súdánu pro analýzu aktivit norské vlády a nevládních organizací v Súdánu. Ze srovnání těchto projektů s rámcovým programem norského ministerstva zahraničí pro udržení míru pak vyplývá, že Norsko se angažuje ve všech odvětvích programu a aktivně se snaží o zlepšení situace v Súdánu a nastolení míru. |

| Abstract: | The Kingdom of Norway has long been trying to present itself as a peace-keeping international actor. Using the case of Norwegian humanitarian and development assistance to Sudan, the thesis will try to find out whether the national values also influence the Norwegian model of peace-keeping nation, and estimate the efficiency of Norwegian humanitarian and development assistance. First two chapters introduce the basic values of Norwegian society and the conflict situation in Sudan for further analysis of activities of the Norwegian government and non-governmental organisations in Sudan. By comparing these projects with the strategic framework of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Norway's role in peace-building, it is shown that Norway is involved in all dimensions of this programme and is actively endeavouring to improve the situation in Sudan and to build peace. |
